$607 tape is the name given to the unfinished full length by The Microwave Orphans , in late 2001 they went back into Paris Studios and recorded 11 tracks with Brian Unger that were intended to be their first full length record. After laying down the basic instrumental tracks they paid the $607 for the session an brought a rough mix home and decided that it wasn't worth finishing. Years later when Matt Roren found this cassette and gave it a listen he thought it was actually quite good, he made copies for Jason Deford and Dave Harrison and they agreed that it was in fact good and that they were crazy for never finishing it. Matt plans to add vocals to it so it may someday see the light.
