Lion of Ido is a Alternative Rock band from Long Island, New York that was formed in 2007 by Ido Zmishlany after his last pop rock band, Last Week broke up. Since then, Ido has put out one record, turned his solo project into a group effort, and toured the world.

BiographyEdit

In 2007, Ido Zmishlany recorded a self titled album in his bedroom, and subsequently toured the world with an acoustic guitar, playing at landmarks in Europe and Israel and posting it on youtube. When Ido returned, he needed a band, so he went to a local music store and asked the kid behind the counter if he knew any drummers. The kid behind the counter happened to be Steve Lombardo, a drummer, and he joined the band soon after. He recruited Crista Russo, who worked in the woodwinds department to play bass. Mike Del Rio soon joined the band on guitar. Soon after, the band toured the east coast in Ido's 1988 Lincoln Town Car, which can be seen in their music video for "No Air". Perez Hilton gave the video cover of the Jordan Sparks top 10 hit a thumbs up, and the video has received a great deal of buzz in online communities. The band sold out rooms at The Knitting Factory, New York and has opened for We Are Scientists and Lupe Fiasco.

The song, "Of What We're Made" was recently featured in a Binghamton University national ad campaign. Lion of Ido is currently working on a new EP and is working with Max Collins from Eve 6 and Ben Romans of The Click Five for this new endeavor.
