“NYC’s singer-songwriting answer to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.” - Time Out New York (2009)

“…His music brings to mind images of Indie folk, wandering amongst the masses in the city of New York and in the outskirts of Brooklyn and Queens…The music I have listened is what music should be. It should touch the soul, and make you feel. To remind you that you are human, and are capable of emotion and love and laughter and sadness…not drown out your sorrows or put a veil over your senses. The music produced by MDR does just this, and I feel compelled to say that the sounds in their own are revolutionary and the lyrics that add their own meaning are nothing short of moving…” - Canvas Magazine (April 2008)

“Mike makes feel good tunes. His unique lyrics and rare edge are what separates him from commercial pop music. It’s the type of music that you can dance to and listen to when your heart is broken. It’s the type of music you want to scream at the top of your lungs in your car, and constantly replay until the CD skips. His diversity with instruments and ability to take on several careers at such a young age is highly admirable and will enable him to survive in music’s demanding industry. Mike Del Rio will no doubt be a name to remember and to listen for. His talents are limitless and his music is the proof.”
