Overthrow was a Long Island based Hardcore band started in 1996.
Biography[]
Having emerged out of the Long Island hardcore scene in 1996, Overthrow started to gain a small following on the East Coast by opening gigs for Vision of Disorder, 25 to Life, Madball, and others before releasing their first demo, No Authority (Demo). Through the next few years to come, a handful of singles were released on various labels; this discography included split EPs with One for One, No Submission and Voice of Reason. In early 1999, Triple Crown Records released their first album entitled React.
Overthrow is returning on Friday, August 16 to play Wildfest 4! on Long Island. Additionally, their album, React, is now available on all digital platforms.
They are currently writing a new album to be released in the fall of 2024. First single of the new album, “Anywhere But Here” will be available on all streaming platforms in April 2024.
