Pop Punk is a genre of rock music that incorporates punk and pop music themes together. On the island, Pop Punk and Melodic Hardcore bands have sprouted in countless numbers spawning bands like The Movielife, Brand New (earlier work), Patent Pending, Jeff Orlick's Ex-Planets, and SGT, while drawing audiences in huge numbers.
Today, bands like Patent Pending, Bomb the Music Industry!, Airdate, The Promise, Anxious Arms, Valet Parking, The Overunder, and Ioninetyfour spearhead the Pop Punk scene on the island.
