Post Roman is an Experimental Alternative Rock band from Rockville Centre, New York that was started in 2005.

The Alternative Rock/Experimental Alternative Rock band that is known as Post Roman today was started in 2005, however, had existed in different forms of the band since 2002. In 2005, Jack Tangney (Show Me Action) joined as lead singer, replacing John Ulin, giving the band a clean slate.

The band began writing songs together, and entered the recording studio, Killingsworth Recording Co., for their full length album, This Canvas, A Vessel. The music is reminiscent of bands like Thursday, Circa Survive, Pretty Girls Make Graves, and Cursive.

The lyrics were written first as stories by Dan Hind, and Jack interprets them on his own into song lyrics. All the songs were crafted by the band as a whole.
