Wilbur is/was an Indie Rock band from Rockville Centre that was formed in 2005.
Biography[]
Kieran Kriss, Simon Tangney, and Matt Bevilacqua formed the band Monsters in the Closet. They wrote a few songs before adding Greg Wyler and a drummer, Sean, and changed their name to "Wilbur". The band remained intact for some time, but soon Sean had to leave the band, and Tommy Davis (of Hope Drive fame) joined the band. In 2006, they put out their first demo recording, "A Demonstration" which featured three songs. The band played locally at venues like Temple Beth'Am and The Vibe Lounge before heading back into the studio to record their six-song EP, "If I Only Had a Name". In 2008, the band went on hiatus due to many of the members leaving for college. Tommy Davis is now in the Indie Rock band, Gabriel the Marine.
